Transliteration-2
a-innakum latatūna l-rijāla wataqṭaʿūna l-sabīla watatūna fī nādīkumu l-munkara famā kāna jawāba qawmihi illā an qālū i'tinā biʿadhābi l-lahi in kunta mina l-ṣādiqīn
Indeed, you approach the men, and you cut off the road and commit in your meetings evil?" And not was (the) answer (of) his people except that they said, "Bring upon us (the) punishment (of) Allah if you are of the truthful."

Must you indeed approach men [with lust], and thus cut across the way [of nature]? and must you commit these shameful deeds in your open] assemblies?” But his people’s only answer was, “Bring down upon us God’s chastisement, if thou art a man of truth!&rdquo
For come ye not in unto males, and cut ye not the road (for travellers), and commit ye not abomination in your meetings? But the answer of his folk was only that they said: Bring Allah's doom upon us if thou art a truthteller
"Do ye indeed approach men, and cut off the highway?- and practise wickedness (even) in your councils?" But his people gave no answer but this: they said: "Bring us the Wrath of Allah if thou tellest the truth."
What! do you come to the males and commit robbery on the highway, and you commit evil deeds in your assemblies? But nothing was the answer of his people except that they said: Bring on us Allah's punishment, if you are one of the truthful
You approach men and waylay them on the road and commit depravities within your gatherings. But his peoples only reply was, Bring down God's punishment upon us, if what you say be true
You approach men with lust and sever the way and approach that which is unlawful in your conclave. Then, the answer of his folk had not been but that they said: Bring on us the punishment of God if thou hadst been among the ones who are sincere.
You even accost men and intercept [them on] the highway! You commit such a horrible thing in your clubs." * His folk´s answer was merely to say: "Bring us God´s torment if you are so truthful!"
Do you really lust after ˹other˺ men, abuse the travellers, and practice immorality ˹openly˺ in your gatherings?” His people’s only response was to say ˹mockingly˺: “Bring Allah’s punishment upon us, if what you say is true.”
You lust after men, obstruct nature's way, and commit [every] shameful act in your gatherings." His people's answer was: "Bring us God's punishment if what you say is true."
Surely, do you commit (sodomy) with men, rob travelers in the road, and practice every kind of evil deed in your gatherings?” But his people gave no answer except that they said: “Bring punishment of Allah upon us if you are one of the truthful.”
What! Do you come unto men, cut off the way, and commit reprehensible deeds in your gatherings?” Yet the answer of his people was but to say, “Bring us God’s Punishment, if you are among the truthful.
"You sexually approach men, and you cut off the lineage, and you bring all vice to your society." But the only response from his people was to Say: "Bring us God's retribution, if you are being truthful!"
How can you lust after men, waylay travellers, and commit evil in your gatherings?’ the only answer his people gave was, ‘Bring God’s punishment down on us, if what you say is true.&rsquo
Ye go in indeed unto males, and ye rob on the highway, and ye commit that which is disreputable in your assembly? Then the answer of his people was naught but that they said: bring thou God's torment on us if thou art of the truth-tellers
You commit unnatural acts with men and cut off the way (of procreation), and commit obscenities in your gatherings." The only answer his people made was: "Bring the punishment of God, if you are truthful."

(After such severe warnings of God) will you continue to go come to men with lust, waylay (travelers) on the road (especially male travelers), and commit shameful deeds in your assemblies? The response of his people was only that they said (mocking and challenging him): "Bring down upon us the punishment of God with which you threaten us, if you are truthful!"
What! Do you come to men, and cut off the way, and commit outrages in your gatherings?’ But the only answer of his people was that they said, ‘Bring us Allah’s punishment should you be truthful.&rsquo
"Do you approach men? And cut off the highway? And practice wickedness in your assemblies?" But his people gave no answer but this, "Bring us the Wrath of Allah, if you speak the truth."
Do you really come up to (obscenity) to men, and cut the way, and come up in your assembly to maleficence?" Yet, in no way was the answer of his people (anything) except that they said, "Come up with the torment of Allah in case you are of the sincere."
Do you engage in carnal relations with men, rob the travellers, and commit evil in your gatherings? His people had no answer but to say, "Bring upon us the torment of God if you are truthful"
Is it (not) a fact that you go for men (to satisfy your lust) and rob the wayfarers and commit evil in your gathering?. So the answer of his people was none but that they said, .Bring us Allah‘s punishment, if you are one of the truthful
Do you not indeed approach males, and cut off the way of Nature? Do you not commit highway robbery? And do you not commit shameful vices openly in your assemblies?" But his people's only answer was, "Bring down upon us the punishment of Allah if you are a man of truth."
"You really approach men (with wicked intent), and you rob the wayfarer? And practice evil (even) in your gatherings?" But his people gave no answers except this: They said: "Bring us the Anger of Allah, if you say the truth."
Indeed, you approach men and obstruct the road and commit in your meetings [every] evil." And the answer of his people was not but they said, "Bring us the punishment of Allah , if you should be of the truthful."
Do you lust after males, commit robbery on the highways and commit evil deeds even in your assemblies?" His people had no answer except to say: "Bring us the scourge of Allah if you are truthful."

And what was the response of his people. but to say: " we defy you to precipitate Allah's retributive punishment if indeed you are declaring the truth!"
What! do you come to males and cut off the way (for committing robbery) and in your assemblies you commit things not recognised (as good)?” So the answer of his people was nothing except that they said, “Bring upon us the punishment of Allah if you are of the truthful ones.”
